President-elect Joe Biden held a drive-in rally in Atlanta as a promotion for the January 5 runoffs. He publicly ridiculed Georgia’s GOP senators, Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue. According to Biden, the Republicans “stood by and fully embraced nullifying nearly 5 million Georgia votes.”
After Nov 3rd’s election, in which neither Loeffler nor Perdue recieved fifty percent of the vote, both races went sent into a special runoff election. During the rally, Biden accused Loeffler and Perdue of siding with President Trump, who attempted to undo Georgia’s election results.
The two candidates are doing a great job of losing the trust of the general public. Loeffler was recently photographed with a KKK leader and Perdue is facing mouting criticism for his stock trades after he was briefed privately on the coronavirus earlier this year.
The GOP senators are running against Reverand Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, two Democrats. Whichever party wins the January 5 election will hold control of the Senate.
