The federal general services administration administrator refuses to sign a letter of ‘ascertainment.’ Republican Congress members are getting involved, saying that Biden should be receiving classified intelligence briefings.
“This needs to occur so that regardless of the outcome of the election, whichever way that it goes, people can be ready for that actual task,” said Senator James Lankford.
Lankford has a few supporters, including Senator Lindsey Graham. They all agree that Joe Biden should be receiving briefings. Lankford said that if it does not occur by Friday that he would get involved.
When the White House press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, was asked whether Biden should receive the Presidential daily briefings, she said, “We are following all statutory requirements. That’s that.”
