President Donald Trump has put his canceled weekend campaign rallies back on the schedule, just days before the November 3 midterm elections, according to Reuters.
A White House official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters on Friday: “Rallies are BACK ON! President Trump loves his supporters, and in addition to nearly 20 tele-rallies, he will hold back-to-back rallies in Kansas and Iowa on Sunday.”
The official said the rallies had been rearranged to accommodate tele-rallies recently added to Trump’s schedule. The cities for Sunday’s rallies were not named in the reporting.

A Reversal In Less Than A Day
The restoration reverses cancellations announced Thursday. Trump had canceled an in-person rally in Salina, Kansas, scheduled for Saturday, and one in Dubuque, Iowa, scheduled for Sunday, with the Republican National Committee and MAGA Inc. pointing instead to tele-rallies in at least 19 states.
On Thursday, asked about skipping Kansas, Trump told reporters he did not “feel like I have to go to Kansas,” Reuters reported. Kansas is home to a Senate race that has become unexpectedly competitive, with Republican Sen. Roger Marshall facing Democrat Adam Hamilton. Trump said at the time that Marshall “is doing very well” and predicted “a strong Tuesday night.”

The Final Weekend Push
Trump campaigns in Florida on Friday, with remarks scheduled for 7 p.m. ET in Daytona Beach, in a state he won handily in 2024 but where early voting has tilted toward Democrats, according to Reuters. It follows campaign events earlier this week in Mississippi and South Carolina, states Republicans usually expect to win.
More than 44 million ballots had already been cast in early voting as of Thursday evening, less than 2 million short of the full 2022 midterm total.
Sunday’s restored rallies now cap a final weekend that, less than a day ago, was supposed to be rally-free in person. The schedule has changed twice in two days, and the cities are still unannounced, so the weekend map is worth watching through Sunday.
