Georgia early voting ends Friday, October 30, the last chance for voters in the state to cast a ballot ahead of the November 3 election without waiting for Election Day. Early voting is the period when registered voters can vote in person at designated sites before the official election date.
As of October 26, Georgia had accepted 1,781,209 ballots, which is 23.7% of the state’s 7,530,073 active voters, according to FOX 5 Atlanta, which cited the Georgia secretary of state’s unofficial turnout dashboard. The total included 1,698,469 in person votes and 82,740 accepted absentee ballots, meaning ballots returned by mail or drop box.
The Georgia secretary of state’s office said earlier this month that the midterm early voting record had been shattered, and it reported more than one million early votes cast before the final week began.

Voters who do not vote early can still vote at their assigned polling place on Tuesday, November 3. The turnout numbers are unofficial and will change as more ballots are counted. Voters should confirm their early voting site, polling place and hours with the Georgia secretary of state’s office or their county elections office.
