The Trump Organization has entered the wireless industry with the launch of T1 Mobile, a new cellular phone service priced at $47.45 per month, which includes unlimited calls, text, and data, the company announced Monday.
The plan—branded as the “47 Plan” in reference to Donald Trump’s status as the 47th U.S. president—is contract-free, requires no credit check, and includes free international calling to over 100 countries, particularly those that host U.S. military bases, the company said in a press release.
“T1 Mobile is for Americans who want connection without compromise,” the statement read. “This is about patriotic technology—affordable, bold, and built for the American worker.”
The launch is timed to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of Trump’s first presidential campaign announcement in June 2015, the company added.
T1 Phone: $499 MAGA-Branded Device
The Trump Organization also unveiled plans for a branded smartphone to accompany the service. The T1 Phone, priced at $499, will be released “at a later date.” Marketing images show a gold-colored smartphone with “Make America Great Again” etched across the back—mirroring the iconic slogan of Trump’s campaigns.
Details on the phone’s operating system, specs, or manufacturer have not yet been released. It is also unclear whether the device will be exclusive to the T1 Mobile network or compatible with other carriers.
Market Position and Appeal
By pricing the unlimited plan at $47.45 per month, the company is leaning heavily into Trump’s presidential brand identity, a fusion of consumer product marketing and political symbolism. The $47 figure is a clear nod to Trump’s position as the 47th president, while the lack of contracts and credit checks is positioned as an appeal to everyday Americans.
The company did not disclose which network infrastructure it is leasing for T1 Mobile, but sources suggest it will operate as an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator)—meaning it will rely on an existing national carrier’s network to deliver its service.
Trump’s Expanding Brand Universe
The move into telecom reflects the Trump Organization’s broader commercial expansion into lifestyle and consumer goods. In recent months, the Trump brand has launched or endorsed a wide array of products, from Trump-branded sneakers to energy drinks, all positioned to appeal to Trump’s core base of supporters.
Political analysts note that these business ventures also serve as campaign branding tools, blending Trump’s political identity with commercial marketing.
“This is a hybrid of merchandise and movement,” said GOP strategist Melissa DeWitt. “When your phone plan, your shoes, and your rally sign all bear the same name, that’s not just a product—it’s a political identity.”
As of now, T1 Mobile has not announced a launch date for the T1 Phone or retail distribution channels, though sign-ups for the 47 Plan are reportedly opening this week via the company’s website.
With its new telecom push, the Trump Organization appears to be staking a claim in yet another sector—one more symbol of the former president’s enduring brand loyalty among supporters and consumers alike.
