In a stunning revelation, Nicole Shanahan, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s running mate, suggested that the Kennedy-Shanahan campaign may abandon its independent bid for the White House to align with former President Donald Trump. The disclosure came during an interview on the podcast Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu and has sent shockwaves through political circles.

Shanahan, who has been a prominent voice in the Kennedy campaign, admitted that their team is grappling with the decision of whether to continue their run for the presidency or withdraw to avoid helping Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris. She described the decision as a delicate balancing act, stating, “The question is, you know, is the risk of a Harris-Walz presidency worth us staying in? And that’s the question we have to ask ourselves right now.”

This blunt acknowledgment of the campaign’s struggles has fueled speculation that RFK Jr. could exit the race and endorse Trump, a possibility that Shanahan did not rule out. “We are taking a very serious look at making sure the people that have corrupted our fair and free democracy do not end up in office in November,” she remarked, alluding to their belief that a Harris presidency would be detrimental to the country.

Kennedy’s campaign has struggled financially, despite significant contributions from Shanahan herself. Amid declining poll numbers and ballot access challenges, Shanahan expressed frustration with the Democratic Party, accusing them of attempting to sabotage their campaign. “One of the biggest mistakes of my life was supporting the Democrats,” she admitted, voicing her disillusionment.

Kennedy himself has remained somewhat cryptic but open to cooperation. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he hinted at his willingness to work with various political figures. “I am willing to talk with leaders of any political party to further the goals I have served for 40 years,” he wrote. Meanwhile, Trump has expressed interest in offering Kennedy a role in his administration, saying, “I probably would” consider it.

As the Kennedy campaign continues to fade from the spotlight, Shanahan’s comments have sparked a national conversation about the future of RFK Jr.’s political journey. Will they form a new political party, or will they align with Trump to stop Harris? For now, the future remains uncertain.
