TSA Ramps Up Mask Mandate, Violators Face $250 Fine, Repeat Offenders Up To $1,500

The Transportation Security Administration is cracking down on people who refuse to obey mask requirements. TSA will fine violators a $250 fine for not wearing a mask, and the penalty goes up for repeat offenders.

“Based on substantial aggravating or mitigating factors, TSA may seek a sanction amount that falls outside these ranges,” the agency said.

The fine can rise up to $1,500 for repeated violations.

According to CNN, Delta Airlines has banned 950 people for violating its mask requirement.

The mandate started this week. People will be required to wear face coverings in train stations, airports, trains, buses, and airplanes.
