President Donald Trump has issued a forceful warning to Hamas, demanding the immediate release of all hostages taken during the ongoing conflict with Israel. In a social media post, Trump declared that failure to comply would result in severe consequences, stating that Hamas leaders should leave Gaza while they still have a chance.
In his message, Trump accused Hamas of committing atrocities and insisted that Israel would receive unwavering support to eliminate the group if hostages were not returned immediately. He stated:
“I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job. Not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say.”
While Trump’s post was primarily directed at Hamas, he also addressed the people of Gaza, saying they had the opportunity for a “beautiful future” but only if they reject hostage-taking and terrorism.
He warned:
“If you do, you are DEAD! Make a SMART decision. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW, OR THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY LATER!”
Trump’s statement reinforces his strong pro-Israel stance, which was a key part of his foreign policy during his presidency. His administration previously brokered the Abraham Accords, normalizing relations between Israel and several Arab nations. Now, with the ongoing conflict, he has reaffirmed his position that Israel should take decisive action against Hamas.
The president’s comments come at a time when international efforts are being made to negotiate a ceasefire and secure hostage releases. His strong rhetoric suggests that if he were in office, the U.S. response to Hamas would be significantly more aggressive than current diplomatic efforts.
