DNC Projects Anti-Trump Slogans on Trump Tower Ahead of Convention

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) projected anti-Trump slogans onto Trump Tower in Chicago on Sunday night, ahead of this week’s Democratic National Convention.

The projections, which included phrases like “Trump-Vance ‘weird as hell,'” and “Harris Walz fighting for you,” were displayed just one day before the convention is set to begin. The stunt aimed to draw a sharp contrast between the Democratic and Republican agendas, setting the tone for the week ahead.

DNC spokesperson Abhi Rahman emphasized the significance of the upcoming convention, stating, “This week, the entire country will witness what it looks like to unite behind hope and a clear vision for a better future, as Democrats rally behind Vice President Harris and Governor Walz.” Rahman added, “While Donald Trump and JD Vance are out for themselves, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are fighting for you.”

The projections, which appeared in both English and Spanish, changed every few seconds, with additional messages such as “Trump-Vance out for themselves” and “Harris Walz joy and hope.” These slogans highlighted the DNC’s efforts to portray Harris and Walz as leaders committed to the American people’s well-being, in stark contrast to their Republican opponents.

“All eyes are on Chicago, and tonight, everyone is seeing a preview of the contrast that will take center stage this week throughout the Democratic National Convention,” Rahman continued. The projections are part of a broader strategy to energize Democratic voters and draw attention to the party’s platform ahead of the November election.

The Democratic National Convention, which officially begins on Monday, will feature a series of speakers leading up to President Joe Biden’s address. Harris is expected to deliver her keynote speech on Thursday, where she will formally accept the Democratic Party’s nomination for president. The event will culminate a week of high-profile appearances and discussions centered on the party’s vision for the future.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, is set to hold several campaign events throughout the week, creating a split-screen effect as the two parties vie for the nation’s attention. Trump’s campaign has not yet responded to the DNC’s projections on Trump Tower.

The DNC’s decision to target Trump Tower with these messages underscores the high stakes of the upcoming election and the party’s determination to draw clear distinctions between their candidates and the Republican ticket. As the campaign season heats up, both parties are ramping up their efforts to mobilize voters and secure crucial support in battleground states.
