Cardi B shut down Representative Glenn Grothman for his comments about her Grammy Performance.
On Thursday, the lawmaker went on the House floor and described the complaints he received after Cardi B’s “WAP” performance at the Grammy’s.
“Wake up, [Federal Communications Commission] FCC and begin to do your job. The moral decline of America is partly due to your utter complacency,” Grothman said.
The 28-year-old rapper tweeted the video of the Representative to her followers and described why his comments offended her.
“I think we ask been on the edge this week since we seen police brutality back to back including watching one of the biggest case in history go down DUE to police brutality but wait,” she tweeted to her followers.
This week, a jury found Former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin guilty of all three charges brought against him in the murder of George Floyd.
The same day that the Chauvin’s verdict was announced, Ma’Khia Bryant, a 16-year-old Black girl, was shot in Columbus, Ohio by a White police officer.
